We
slept well last night in the Royal Pavilion Hua Hin in
Hua Hin.
Pia is still quite bothered by a cold.
Breakfast is just as reasonable as yesterday.
Today we're driving back to Lat Krabang. The day after tomorrow we fly back to the Netherlands, and we want to spend this morning packing and doing some last-minute shopping.
First, we're going to do some shopping in Hua Hin.
After checking out, we walk to the market where we saw salted and dried fish, Pla Sarit, the
day before yesterday, which we want to take with us.
The woman selling the fish is still there, and she also has some of the fish, so we buy that
from her now.
Dried fish is also being sold next to her, and we're buying some things there as well.
And there are also some nice vegetables at the market, which of course we have to take with
us.
All in all, we have almost ten kilos of groceries.
The drive to Bangkok starts off quietly, with little traffic and good speed.
As we drive from Thanon Phetkasem onto Thanon Rama II, it gets a bit busier, but until
construction on an elevated road begins, the flow remains smooth.
Then it gets a bit busier, mainly because the road narrows, but also because we're getting
closer to Bangkok.
The entrance to Thanon Kanchanphisek, Bangkok's outer ring road, also seems quite congested.
But fortunately, it's not that bad.
After about a three-hour drive, we arrive in Lat Krabang, where we stop at a Vietnamese
restaurant,
Krua Muang Ve, for a simple lunch.
Then we walk to
Paseo Lat Krabang, where Pia wants to buy a blouse but decides against it.
At home we unpack and Tom rests from the rather strenuous drive.

We tell what we have done and experienced during a trip and we also tell what we think about it; no more and no less.
This is not a travel guide, nor is it advice to visit a place or not.
There are other sites for that.
Our opinion about places where we have eaten, drunk or slept is not intended as a (positive or negative) assessment,
there are other sites for that.
It is our view of the situation at a certain moment and that view is influenced by our mood,
the weather and many other factors.
